D'Arcy was found guilty of breaching rule 156 (iv) in that he misjudged the first division of the Support Retraining of Racehorses Amateur Riders' Handicap and asked his mount for an effort too late.
The stewards will notify him of his suspension date, as they will Mark Smith, who was suspended for one day for careless riding aboard Spectested in the second division.
Apprentice Richard Thomas was also banned for one day (17 January) after being found guilty of careless riding aboard Charley's Aunt in the Parade Restaurant Claiming Stakes. Another apprentice, James O'Reilly, also picked up a four-day ban (17-20 January) after being found guilty of using his whip in the incorrect place aboard Les Arcs in the Text 'betdirect' Handicap.
