Rajeem, surprise winner of the Falmouth Stakes this month, will bid for a Group One double in tomorrow's Prix d'Astarte at Deauville.

The Diktat filly sprang a 50-1 surprise when beating Coronation Stakes winner Nannina by three-quarters of a length in the Newmarket event.

That performance marked a huge step up after Clive Brittain's charge had finished only eighth in the German 1000 Guineas and fifth at Royal Ascot.

She is set to clash with German winner Lolita again as well as French 1000 Guineas winner Tie Black and Price Tag, who was first past the post in the Longchamp Classic before being disqualified.

Brittain said: "We are very happy with her. She has done one piece of serious work since her win in the Falmouth Stakes which was progressive. "We are going there with a very good chance."

A field of 11 will go to post in the mile event with French Guineas second Impressionnante reopposing while Together, In Clover, Grand Vadla, Mandesha, Grigorieva and Indian Fun complete the line-up.
