The dual Coronation Cup winner Warrsan has died after developing cancer. Saeed Manana's eight-year-old, trained by Clive Brittain, won nine of his 43 races, including the Grosser Preis von Baden on two occasions, and earned more than £1.6m. He had not raced since finishing last behind Ouija Board in the Hong Kong Vase in December.

"He was one of the family here at Carlburg," said Brittain, "and it is so sad that he did not have the life he so richly deserved as a stallion."
