The farrier Steve O'Sullivan and amateur rider Dale Jewett are to face further charges in the wake of the inquiry into the running of Hillside Girl at Carlisle in June last year.
At last month's Jockey Club four-day hearing the charge was dismissed of conspiring with the trainer Alan Berry and jockey Paul Bradley "for the commission of a corrupt or fraudulent practice". However, the Club plans to proceed with charges against O'Sullivan and Jewett that they "knew that Hillside Girl was sufficiently lame that it had little chance of winning and used that information, acquired by reason of their positions as stable employees, in the interests laying bets".
The Club has also summoned William Keenan, a former employee of Berry's who gave statements to investigators but failed to turn up for the inquiry.
