David Johnson, Our Vic's owner, told At The Races: "He's a bit like a bully, if things are going his way he does well. If they don't, then he's not the same horse.
"His chance had gone after the second and Timmy did the right thing. If he'd gone on, things would have been a lot worse today - he's a bit stiff and sore."
Our Vic had been a contender for the King George VI Chase but, as Johnson said: "You would have to say he is doubtful."
Pipe, who is enduring a rare bad run, is out to 7-4 on Betfair for the trainers' Championship, with Paul Nicholls at 1-2, the lowest price he has ever been with the betting exchange.
