Two jockeys were banned from riding for 10 days after they steered their mounts on to the wrong course at Folkestone yesterday. Long-time leaders Jackie Boy and Full On were inexplicably switched to the steeple-chase track immediately after jumping the fifth flight in the Dymchurch Handicap Hurdle.

Both horses were then pulled up by their respective jockeys, Antony Evans and William Kennedy. The riders' suspensions start on 25 February.

Tony McCoy lit up the afternoon, though, with a fine treble exhibiting his skill in the saddle to full effect. Reveillez, his mount in the beginners' chase, lead at the last to win by an easy two lengths. Opera Mundi and Topkat supplied McCoy's two other victories.
