Two jockeys fell foul of the stewards yesterday after riding finishes too early in separate races at Fakenham.

Willie Worthington, riding the 10-11 favourite Hi Fi, set sail for home a circuit too soon on the Ian Williams-trained hurdler and eventually finishing a well-beaten sixth. He was suspended from riding for 21 days.

Rhys Hughes also rode a finish too early in the preceding race, the hunters' chase. Hughes, who kicked for home on board Mister Falcon as they approached the final fence on the first circuit, also interfered with Westfield John, who in turn interfered with eventual winner Bohemian Spirit. Hughes was banned for 15 days.
