Broncos look to exploit edge

The London Broncos hope to capitalise on St Helens' early-season injury crisis when they welcome them to Griffin Park tonight.

Saints expect to be without Martin Gleeson and Sean Long, as well as adding Mike Bennett to their long injury list in the forwards and Ian Millward calls up John Wilkin, Ade Gardner and the teenaged forward, James Graham, for the trip south.

The Broncos have had an unusual casualty of their own this week, when their Australian forward, Andrew Hart bruised his chest when a weight dropped on him in the gym. If he does not recover, Andrew Brocklehurst or Tom Haughey will start, with the former Castleford player, Andy McNally, coming on to the bench.

In tomorrow's games, Leeds are at full strength at Castleford at the moment, whilst Warrington have restored the likes of Lee Briers and Mike Forshaw to their squad after putting 80 points past Rochdale without them in midweek.

Chris Melling is waiting to make his Wigan debut against Salford if Stephen Wild fails a fitness test.

Robbie Paul has had to postpone the comeback he was hoping to make in Bradford's game at Wakefield. The Bulls captain has made just one substitute appearance since breaking his arm last summer and has failed a fitness test which he hoped would give him the green light.

"I was really close but I just didn't have complete confidence in the arm,'' said Paul, who now plans to return against Huddersfield on 21 March.

There are a number of notable debuts in the Arriva Trains Cup. The Cook Island international, Tama Wakelin, will be in Barrow's side against Gateshead, the South African, Desi Kadima, makes his bow for the London Skolars at Hull KR and Bright Sodje makes his second debut for Sheffield against Doncaster at the age of 37.
