Jamie Peacock hopes that Leon Pryce, a team-mate for country but an opponent when Leeds meet St Helens in the Challenge Cup on Sunday, will be spared jail when he is sentenced next month.
Pryce, along with Stuart Reardon, has admitted assault and been told to expect a prison term. "I think what they have done was wrong, but I'm sure it would be more beneficial for them to be sent to do community service," said Peacock.
The Celtic Crusaders' prop, Ryan O'Hara, has been sent a warning letter by the Rugby League for making an obscene gesture at Warrington supporters on Sunday. The Crusaders' Matty Smith could be out for the rest of the season after suffering a suspected broken ankle.
