The Super League winners, Bradford, have made Hull's centre Toa Kohe-Love their second signing of the week.

The New Zealander has agreed a three-year contract at Odsal and said: "When they came in for me, I had no hesitation in signing. I'm looking forward to playing with so many world-class players."

The Bradford coach, Brian Noble, who signed another New Zealander, Logan Swann, earlier this week, described Kohe-Love as "a proven try-scorer and a very good defender. He will be a fantastic addition to our squad".

Kohe-Love will replace Scott Naylor, who is leaving the Bulls and has been linked with his former club, Salford.

The former Wigan, Castleford and Great Britain scrum-half, Tony Smith, has joined Wakefield Trinity's coaching staff. Smith, who broke his leg playing for Hull in May, has now retired as a player. He will assist Wakefield's first-team coach, Shane McNally, who said: "It's exciting to have someone of Tony's playing experience on board."

Two members of Widnes' team this year have been appointed to captain their countries in the European Nations Cup, which starts this weekend.

The full-back, Paul Atcheson, will lead Wales against Russia on Sunday after Warrington's Lee Briers failed to recover from the broken wrist that ruled him out of the Super League season's latter stages.

The Widnes and Wales coach, Neil Kelly, said: "Paul has been a stalwart of the side and will give us experience."

Phil Cantillon, the hooker who has just signed for Halifax, will lead Ireland against Scotland in Glasgow the same day.

Tomorrow,Penrith's Luke Lewis, Trent Waterhouse and Joel Clinton, plus Sydney City's Michael Crocker, will make their Australia debuts against the French President's XIII in Perpignan.
