Leeds call on fit-again Delaney to quell Storm

Leeds have included their Australian centre Brett Delaney in their squad to play Melbourne in the World Club Challenge tomorrow night. Delaney has missed the Rhinos' last two games through an undisclosed injury but they are confident that he will be fit to take the field at Elland Road.

That will release Kallum Watkins to move to the right-wing in place of Scott Donald, who faces three months out for a shoulder operation.

Jay Pitts, the young prop signed from Wakefield, is the other player added to the squad that beat Salford last weekend. There will be 11 players on duty who played when Leeds beat the Storm two years ago.

The Australian champions are without their first-choice scrum-half, Cooper Cronk, two international forwards in Brett White and Seka Manu, plus their new signing, Chase Stanley. Brett Finch will play scrum-half, but coach Craig Bellamy has a number of options at stand-off, including two of the world's best players in their specialist positions, Greg Inglis, the centre, and Cameron Smith, the hooker.

Bellamy has named two players with strong English connections – the Halifax-born utility back Gareth Widdop and Ryan Tandy, the former Whitehaven and Widnes prop, who has thrived back in Australia.
