Radlinski plunges straight into Wigan's survival fight

Kris Radlinski will come straight back into the Wigan side to aid their fading cause tomorrow. The former Great Britain full-back has come out of a three-month retirement, brought on by persistent knee problems, to try to help his old club fight clear of relegation.

"It's all hands on deck," Radlinski said. "I've still got a lot of friends at the club and they've been through hell in recent weeks. Perhaps I can take a bit of weight off them."

Radlinski has proved his fitness in three training sessions this week and Brian Noble, the Wigan coach, will throw him in at home to the Catalans Dragons at centre. "It's not my favourite position, but there's nowhere to hide at full-back. I just don't like seeing the club go through what it's been going through," Radlinski said.

As well as Radlinski, it will be a testing evening for Michael Dobson, who played scrum-half for the Dragons before joining Wigan for the rest of this season. Dobson made an impressive debut against St Helens, but struggled at Leeds last week.

In tomorrow's other Super League games, Wigan's main relegation rivals are both in action. Wakefield, who have agreed an extended contract with Olivier Elima, are at Warrington, while Castleford, having completed the signing of Danny Brough from Hull, are at home to Huddersfield.
