Former England hooker Paul Rowley has officially taken up the coaching reins at Leigh and immediately set his sights on leading the club back into Super League.

"I've been doing it for three months and everybody's happy. I'm just glad to put pen to paper," said the 36-year-old.

"I've stepped in in the past but this is the first time I've put together my own squad. They are my boys and we feel comfortable together. It's going to be an exciting year."
