Phil Veivers was in temporary charge at Salford last season
Salford have named Phil Veivers as the coach to lead them into their new stadium for the start of next season.
The former St Helens player was in temporary charge for much of last season while Shaun McRae was on sick leave. He was an unsuccessful candidate for the permanent job when Matt Parish was appointed in July, but Parish departed suddenly last week, having won only one of his six games, citing irreconcilable differences with others at the club.
The North Wales Crusaders have appointed the former Welsh rugby league coach Clive Griffiths as the man to take them into Championship 1 next season.
