The only serious rival to the supremacy of triple Olympic gold medallist Ben Ainslie, Ed Wright, is producing dominant performances at the Rolex Olympic classes regatta in Miami.

He tops the Finn singlehander table going into the final stages with another member of the Skandia squad, Giles Scott in second place.

Britain also leads impressively in the women's match race series with Lucy Macgregor, Annie Lush and Ally Martin unbeaten at the head of the gold group going into the quarter finals and the pairing of Nic Asher and Eliot Willis lead the 470 dinghy class.

Nick Thompson leads the Laser class, with reigning gold medallist Paul Goodison sitting on the sidelines, and Alison Young is second in the women's division. Bryony Shaw, bronze medallist in China, lies fifth in the windsurfer class with Nick Dempsey eighth in the men’s division.
