Next year's World Biathlon Championships in Ruhpolding, Germany, will be brought forward a week to avoid overlapping with the Alpine Skiing Championships in Sierra Nevada, Spain. The biathlon event, originally scheduled to start on 11 February, will instead begin on 3 February.
