Brian Barnes, the Ryder Cup player who once beat Jack Nicklaus twice in a day, today transfers hospitals from Aberdeen to Midhurst, Sussex, after developing blood clots in his leg a week ago. Barnes, the British Senior Open Champion, misses this week's De Vere Hotels Classic, at Belton Woods, near Grantham, and he could be out for the rest of the season.
