BRITAIN'S Janet Soulsby hit four birdies in a stunning homeward run of 33 to share the lead after the first round of the Irish Holidays Open in Dublin yesterday.
Soulsby, from Northumberland, finished alongside the Irish amateur, Tracy Eakin, and American Jean Bartholomew on 68 - four under par and one stroke ahead of a group of four, including Scotland's Dale Reid.
But another British player, Laura Davies, is also in contention after a 70 in her first appearance on the St Margaret's course.
The best shot of the day came from Bartholomew, who holed a 230-yard, three-iron for an albatross at the 465-yard 16th hole.
