Golf: Woods stays in touch with leading pack

Tiger Woods was six shots off the lead after the first round of Memorial Tournament in Dublin, Ohio. Four players shared the lead at six under par - Jesper Parnevik of Sweden, Tim Herron, Billy Andrade and Glen Day shot rounds of 66.

The Masters champion was on the way to his worst round of the year - three over after 12 holes - but had a good finish. He sank a 25-foot putt for an eagle on the par-five 15th and a 12-footer on the next for a birdie.

Despite his recovery, Woods was not happy. "It was army golf," he said. "I was left, right, left, right, all day. I also had `liprosy': I must have left five putts on the lip."
