Mick Harford faces being charged by FA for his verbal attack on the Chelsea manager, Glenn Hoddle. The 37-year-old Wimbledon striker, had just been substituted when Chelsea's quickly taken free-kick gave them a 2-1 lead in Saturday's FA Cup quarter-final. Harford accused Hoddle of having "sorted" the referee, Graham Poll. The game ended in a 2-2 draw.
"He completely lost his rag. I had to push him back into his own dug- out," Keith Lacy, the Chelsea safety officer, said. "His language to Glenn was atrocious. He was saying things about the referee but in a vile way."
