Apprentice Matthew Henry put his riding skills on display yet again when he enabled Shady Deed to win the Mile Maiden Stakes at Bath yesterday.
Shady Deed had failed to win in 10 previous attempts. Henry rushed the filly into a clear lead by half way and, although she tired in the closing stages, was still a length and three quarters in front at the line.
Henry went on to complete a 19-1 double on Arc Bright.
