Jeremy Boyse, player of the tournament at Indoor Finals night at Crystal Palace on Friday evening, swapped his white East Grinstead shirt for the green of Lewes and was equally instrumental in their 4-2 win against Harleston Magpies in a National League Division One game at Southdown yesterday.

Boyse evaded Harleston's Phillip Cobbald in the 27th minute to set up Lewes's first goal for Luke Hurle. Although Harleston equalised within two minutes through their captain, Peter Thomas, Boyse was beginning to win the verbal, physical and skill battle.

Eleven minutes into the second half Boyse won the first of four corners which ended with him scoring Lewes's second goal. Two minutes later he won another corner, converted by Ben Hawes. Thomas claimed his second before Boyse laid on Lewes's fourth for the hard working Danny Poulson.

Bobby Crutchley took his season's total to 31 as he scored five times in Cannock's 7-2 win against East Grinstead to hold their three-point lead ahead of Canterbury, 7-3 winners at Teddington. Dave Hacker collected a hat-trick for Canterbury and Nick Conway scored all three for the home side.
