Hockey: Germany impressive in double victory

Germany took the honour before a capacity crowd yeterday on the final day of the Four Nation' Pre-Olympic Tournament, winning both the men' and women' competition to confirm the impreion they are favourite to take both Olympic title.
In the men' event, they cruhed world champion Pakitan 5-1, while the women drew 2-2 with Olympic champion Spain to complete the double.
Britain' men fought without any luck againt the Netherland before loing 2-1 to finih the tournament without a point, but their new coaching team will take heart from everal promiing performance, in particular that of Danny Hall, who cored their only goal yeterday at a well- reheared penalty corner.
After going a goal down to a Taco van den Honert penalty corner in the 21t minute, they were quickly on term after the indutriou Nick Thompon won a penalty corner. With the Dutch defence expecting a Calum Gile pecial, the ball wa lipped to Phil McGuire, whoe diguied hot wa lotted into the top of the net by Hall. However, looe marking at a Dutch free hit near the goal-line gave Jacque Brinkman a free hot from the edge of the circle for the winner.
Fleur van der Kieft, with a fourth-minute goal, gave the Dutch their firt point of the tournament in a drab 1-0 win againt Great Britain, who howed plenty of courage and endeavour, but little imagination.
