A first-half hat-trick by Matthew Cross sent Havant on their way to a comfortable 5-0 victory against DD Viso, from Portugal, in the opening match of the B Division of the European club championship at Havant College yesterday. Despite Havant's extensive second-half domination they had to wait till the last eight minutes to increase their tally, Don Williams scoring twice. In the other pool, Marthan Kubisiak scored four goals for the Polish champions, WKS Grunwald, in their emphatic 7-1 victory over Bp Volan, of Hungary.
