Hockey: Trojans fall to Warwick

The fourth round of the Hockey Association Cup brought its usual crop of casualties, with three non-National League sides going into today's draw. Warwick, from the DTZ Midland League, twice came from behind against Trojans of the First Division t o steal the game 3-2 in the last minute of extra time. Colin Grafton completed a hat-trick from penalty corners.

Slough were another First Division side to make their exit, at the hands of the Ernst and Young North League side Formby, also going down 3-2. John Bell scored the winning goal.

The third non-League side to go through were Spencer, who won 2-1 at Bridgnorth thanks to two goals from David Burns.

Hounslow's record of 24 Cup games without defeat in normal time ended at Reading, whose captain, Jon Wyatt, set up the only goal for the former Spanish Under-21 player, Pablo Villar.

In a disciplined performance Havant, with goals from Calum Giles, accounted for East Grinstead; the holders, Teddington, thanks to goals from Andy Billson, Russell Benzies and Jason Laslett, marched on with a 3-1 win against St Albans while last season'sbeaten finalists, Old Loughtonians, went out to a 19th-minute goal from Stourport's Mark Harradine.
