Tommy Horton is poised for his third seniors win of the season after compiling a 69 for a two-under-par 140 and a one-shot lead in the second round of the Lawrence Batley Seniors at Fixby, Huddersfield, yesterday.

The Royal Jersey professional, who leads the European Seniors Tour rankings with a record pounds 67,000 in prize money, is one shot ahead of the American Chick Evans (66) and the South African Tienie Britz (71).
