2.05: That the once-raced ROYAL LINE stands alongside eight other illustrious names as a Saeed Bin Suroor entry for the St Leger looks sufficient recommendation in this fairly undemanding company.

ooo

2.35: Two winners and two thirds from the four two-year-old races he contested at Royal Ascot is testament to the strength of Aidan O'Brien's team. With a host of ammunition at his disposal, including the Coventry Stakes winner Fasliyev, he has opted for MULL OF KINTYRE, easy winner of his only start, and the hint has to be taken.

ooo

3.10: HEARTWOOD had a rough passage in the King George V Handicap and never had an opportunity to get into contention, but she certainly has the stamina for this 1m2f trip and looks handily weighted. Markan apparently works like a wonder horse but has yet to show the same ability on the track. He is best on firm ground.

3.40: Cape Verdi was an outstanding 1,000 Guineas winner but, returning from injury, she is worth opposing with BALISADA whose Group One-winning form was registered three weeks, as opposed to 14 months, ago. The turn of foot which Balisada unleashed to come from behind and beat the Classic fillies (including the Irish Guineas winner Hula Angel, and two more of today's rivals in Choirgirl and Presumed) in the Coronation Stakes was one of the enduring images of this year's Royal meeting.
