Northamptonshire have secured the Indian leg-spinner Anil Kumble as their overseas player for next season. Kumble, 23, was a leading member of the Indian spin attack which English batsmen failed to master on their overseas tour two winters ago. Kumble has signed a one-year contract to replace Curtly Ambrose, who will tour England next summer with the West Indies.
