Comprehensive information on firms offering free or low-cost initial interviews to clients is being provided for the first time by the Law Society. As well as in the society's regional directories, the information will now be available through local referral schemes operated by advice agencies. The schemes were introduced in response to research suggesting low public awareness of the free or low-cost service.
