Sir: Forget the inquests into team selection, pitches and gastronomy after the Test series defeat. Should we not question the efficacy of the attempts to get the almighty on our side? Clearly the honorary chaplain whose job this must be is not succeeding. Is a change due, and might we not turn to those who could appeal to the gods of the land?
Yours faithfully,
