Danny Lewis scored seven points in the final 70 seconds, including an extraordinary under-arm three-pointer on the buzzer, to snatch a 79- 76 Budweiser League victory for London Towers at Chester Jets last night.

Lewis, nicknamed "Diamond" by the London fans, was driving to the basket and apparently realised that time was too short to launch a jump shot. He flung the ball underarm from behind the three-point arc to stun the home crowd as the ball dropped through the hoop.

On a night for spectacular climaxes, John White's three-pointer as the game ended gave London Leopards a 91-90 win in the the 7-Up League Trophy at Birmingham Bullets.

At Manchester, Michael Brown scored two free throws nine seconds from time to give the Giants an 81-80 league win over the leaders, Sheffield Sharks.
