Lindsay scraps Australian test

Maurice Lindsay has scrapped plans for Great Britain to play a Test against Australia at the end of their tour following the successful court appeal by Super League in Australia on Friday. Lindsay, chairman of the Super League International Board and chief executive of the Rugby Football League, said in Syndey: "It would be good for Great Britain to make a few hundred thousand dollars, but we believe that Test football is about more than making a quick buck.

"We did not want to rush a Test through when the Australian players would not have played for seven or eight weeks
