David Terrier

(West Ham)

The 23-year-old former French Under-21 international defender had no second thoughts about requesting the number 13 shirt when he joined West Ham under a Bosman ruling free transfer in July. After all, it was the one he wore with distinction for his previous club, Metz. Alas it proved an ill-fated choice. Terrier made just one two-minute Premiership appearance as a substitute in August, after which a series of minor injuries denied him a further opportunity. He was released on 31 December.
