Bernie Ecclestone's green light for the Bahrain Grand Prix to go ahead in April has been met with disappointment from human rights groups, which reacted with surprise at the Formula One chief's claim that troubles in the country were simply "some kids in trouble with the police".
Ecclestone's words were "sad and disappointing", said the Bahrain Centre for Human Rights. "It is not a good message for the race to go ahead."
