A Finnish court yesterday sentenced former Formula One driver Jyrki Järvilehto to 30 months in prison for a drunken boat accident that killed his friend.
The court found Järvilehto, known as JJ Lehto, guilty of causing the death of his friend last year when the speedboat he was steering while intoxicated crashed into a bridge.
Järvilehto was also found guilty of drunken and dangerous driving. He denied he was steering and his lawyer said they will appeal.
