Monisha Kaltenborn has become Formula One's first female team principal after taking over from Peter Sauber at his eponymous team. The Indian-born Kaltenborn, 41, an Austrian citizen, joined Sauber in 2000 to run their legal department and became chief executive officer in January 2010.

She will take up her additional duties at this weekend's Korean GP.
