Marc Marquez is putting aside all thoughts of winning his maiden MotoGP title as the rookie sensation closes in on the most sought-after prize in motorcycling in Australia on Sunday.

The Spanish Repsol Honda rider could win the title at Phillip Island but Marquez (left), who has won the 125cc and Moto2 titles, is concentrating only on the race.

"Phillip Island will be important for the championship as there are only three races to go and every point makes a difference," he said. "But we will try to approach it as we do every race weekend, work hard from the beginning and keep our concentration."
