The Sauber driver Sergio Perez, who has three podium finishes this year, says he is ready to drive for one of the top teams as speculation grows about a potential move to Ferrari and McLaren.

"It's only my second year in Formula One but I feel ready to do a good job with a top team," the 22-year-old Mexican said. The Ferrari chairman, Luca di Montezemolo, however, has said he does not think Perez has enough experience yet.
