Jodami, one of the few horses other than One Man whose reputation was enhanced by Saturday's King George VI Chase success by the grey, will miss the Monkton Handicap Chase at Wetherby tomorrow after suffering a minor setback.
"People seem to have forgotten that Jodami was giving 16lb when he was beaten by One Man at Ayr in November," Peter Beaumont, Jodami's trainer, said. "In the light of what's happened since that was a great performance, but he's got a bit of muck in his throat and he's just isn't quite right at present."
The 1993 Gold Cup winner has been on the sidelines since a narrow and unimpressive victory at Kelso in November.
