Scottish athletes are to benefit from a pounds 2.5m windfall thanks to the Scottish Sports Council Lottery Fund. Under new lottery guidelines, competitors who represent Scotland in a range of sports can expect varying levels of funding to pay for coaching, training and competition costs.
