Athens will have to withdraw its bid for the 2004 Olympic Games if it does not stage a successful World Championships next year, Primo Nebiolo, the International Amateur Athletic Federation president, said yesterday. The IAAF has been angered by a year-long power struggle between the Greek sports ministry and the Greek Federation about who should be primarily responsible for staging the event next August.
