Jamie Curle, a life-long Berwick fan, is head of a consortium of businessmen who last tonight agreed a deal to take control of the Scottish Second Division club. Curle, 42, who lives near Berwick, bought the shares of the out-going chairman, Roy McDowell, who resigned after four years in control, and gave an assurance that the team will stay at Berwick.
