Francois Pienaar, the World Cup-winning captain, has been chosen to lead South Africa in three Tests against Fiji, Australia and New Zealand after proving his fitness after a shoulder injury. Although his Transvaal side lost a tough Currie Cup match against Super 12 finalists Natal 34- 24, Pienaar completed the game with no ill-effects.

New Zealand have recalled centre Walter Little for next Saturday's second Test against Scotland in Auckland. The 26-year-old North Harbour player replaces Waikato's Scott McLeod in the only change from the side that beat the Scots 62-31 in the first Test at Carisbrook, Dunedin, on Saturday.
