Blackburn Rovers are ready to sign Jason Wilcox on a new five- year deal said to be worth around pounds 1.5m. Wilcox was left out of Terry Venables' squad for Euro 96 after winning his first cap this year, but his consolation will be a three-year extension to his current deal with Rovers and a big pay rise.

Bradford City have signed the Dutch defender, Marco Sas, from NAC Breda on a free transfer.

Paul Ince, David Ginola and Chelsea-bound Gianluca Vialli have been added to a Fifa all-star squad to play Brazil at the Giants Stadium in New Jersey on 14 July. They were among 11 players nominated to join eight already selected, including Jurgen Klinsmann and Romario, who will be playing against his compatriots if selected.
