OLYMPIC GAMES: Tears as Ali has new gold
Muhammad Ali has been presented with an Olympic gold medal to replace the one he won at the 1960 Games in Rome but later threw into a river in disgust.
The former heavyweight champion was given the medal at half-time of the men's basketball final, many in the crowd weeping with emotion. Ali threw the original into the Ohio River after being barred from an all-white restaurant and chased by a white gang.
