TOMAS BROLIN, the Swedish footballer whose goal wrote off England in the European Championships this summer, picked up two typically opportunist goals in a 4-0 win against Morocco.
Brolin had looked jaded in the opening 0-0 draw against Paraguay, but the striker bounced back to his best to score the first and fourth goals and leave the Swedes well placed to qualify for the quarter-finals from Group C.
Two of the tournament favourites, Ghana and Denmark, met in Group D, and, thanks some heroism from Niels Jorgensen, Denmark's goalkeeper, the result was 0-0, which leaves both sides well placed to qualify.
