THE archery range saw one of the most commanding performances of the entire Games when Cho Youn-jeong from South Korea broke no fewer than three world records on her way to the gold medal.
Cho, 22, set world bests for an individual round and for the 70m and 50m events as she beat her compatriot, Kim Soo-nyung, the defending champion. The final, like the shooting events, was conducted under a new shoot- out system, and Cho proved much the tougher to win 112-105, with five perfect 10s and six nines.
Britain's Alison Williamson made it as far the quarter-finals.
