London Eye: Dr Dre beats the brand ban – for a while
A new warm-up routine could be needed for Great Britain's athletes – the image of them gearing up for action sporting the stylish Beats by Dr Dre headphones will be seen no longer, as Britain's Olympic Association yesterday clamped down on their athletes publicly wearing a non-official brand.
Batches of the £150 headphones were shipped to hotels where Britain's athletes were staying in a fine piece of marketing, which included diver Tom Daley being pictured wearing them, and goalkeeper Jack Butland tweeting his support.
If only McDonald's made headphones.
