Ricky Otto's first goal since the opening day of the season gave Birmingham City a point they scarcely deserved in an ill-tempered match at Norwich City yesterday.

The substitute's 76th-minute strike cancelled out Ashley Ward's effort two minutes earlier. Otto diverted the ball into an unguarded net after Kevin Francis's shot had been deflected on to the bar by Bryan Gunn. Ward guided the ball home after Robert Fleck's strike had been deflected into his path.
