Nottingham and Basingstoke drew first blood in last night's Benson and Hedges Cup semi-finals with first-leg away victories. Basingstoke won 2-0 at Ayr, with two goals from Blake Knox, while Nottingham Panthers shocked the holders, Sheffield Steelers, by taking a 3-2 lead into next week's second-leg ties.
